Many equestrian yards today face the same challenge: how can the natural needs of horses – free movement, social contact with other horses, and several small feed portions throughout the day – be met while keeping labour and running costs at a realistic level?

Traditional stabling in individual boxes often makes this difficult. Multiple daily hay feedings, concentrate feeding, mucking out, and organising turnout or paddock time require a significant amount of time. At the same time, many yards struggle to find qualified staff on a long-term basis.

A modern approach to horse-friendly husbandry and efficient yard management

The HIT-Activ box combines innovative stable technology with animal-appropriate housing. The aim is to provide horses with healthy, species-appropriate care while noticeably reducing day-to-day labour requirements.

Benefits for horses and yard staff:

A brown stable building with several adjacent openings on the right side of the image. Horses stand in front of the openings, looking into their respective stalls. Metal dividers separate the individual areas between the openings. The ground in front of the stable is covered with snow, giving the scene a wintry atmosphere. Automated feeding

Time-controlled concentrate dispensers and hay feeders provide feed as needed in several small portions – without constant staff involvement.

Healthy resting and less muck

Special soft horse beds increase comfort, reduce the amount of bedding and muck produced, and protect legs and joints.

The picture was taken from inside a horse stall. Outside, two horses stand on snow-covered ground in areas separated by metal partitions, covered with blankets. Winter trees and a snowy landscape can be seen in the background. The horses are enjoying their HIT active stall.

Safe and low-maintenance paddock surfaces

Non-slip flooring ensures secure footing and is easy to keep clean.

The result: greater animal welfare, predictable workloads, and economically viable yard management – from small private yards to large equestrian centres.

In short: the HIT-Activ box helps yard owners spend more time with their horses and less time on heavy routine tasks.
